Time flies when you're having wedding planning fun and I can't believe that autumn is well underway. Autumn always comes with a bit of sadness in the bespoke office as we say goodbye to wedding clients who have had their special days and flown the bespoke nest but excitement as we are challenged with new ideas and fresh faces. We hope you enjoy reading a quick round up of our news.
Recent Weddings
This summer has been as varied as ever and we hold our clients especially dear this year for battling on despite the economic meltdown. But nothing gloomy about the wedding days themselves. In May we helped pull together a beautiful wedding and christening celebration for some St Albans-based clients which showed off the very best of this magnificent City by way of a Cathedral ceremony, then stroll through the park onto a beautifully relaxed afternoon tea reception.
And next up, we planned a classic church ceremony in the Chiswick area of London followed by a quick nip along the M4 in red Routemaster buses (with champagne on board naturally) to arrive at the stunning and quintessentially English setting of Great Fosters in Surrey. A beautiful reception followed with much live music, dancing, voluminous flowers, a stunning and opulent gold colour scheme and merriment until the small hours.
No rest for the wicked and shortly afterwards we were off to the quirky and captivating Stoke Place. The couple had chosen a unique colour theme, using zingy lime greens, blush pink and splashes of grey. The design was contemporary to the last as we transformed the ballroom with acrylic and steel chairs and jumbo 3ft helium balloons on invisible wire hung from the ceiling. Not to mention the stylish bar and dancefloor area transformed with glitter ball, white sofas, low seating and blue uplighting.

We are delighted to be well under way with our company blog which is packed with creative and organisational wedding planning tips, features our real wedding work, industry news, insight into wedding planning and much much more. UK Alliance of Wedding Planners
We can never resist a little mention for our other company. It's been a record year for UKAWP and our training courses have been ever popular and completely sold out months ahead of time. We recently held two 'end of season' networking events in London and Cheshire and almost 60 wedding planners attended which is fabulous for our small but expanding industry. We've also had the chance to talk to brides this autumn at the recent National Wedding Show. Our next private event for trading wedding planners is Wedding Planning Excellence (WPE '10) in February
next year.
In the media...
We are always thrilled when our work is featured in the media; there is nothing like the smell of a new magazine with a fabulous feature on one of our weddings. The wedding of Julie and Dan has recently featured in Wedding Flowers and the wedding of Noor and Alan will be appearing in the same magazine soon.
