The months have flown and it’s time again for our quarterly company update.
We’ve had a little time to rest and recuperate over the winter and we’re raring to go with this years weddings. Please read on for a round up of some of our late 2008 events and our plans for the spring. |

| Launch of Eventful Hire |
|
This year we’ve launched our new baby sister company, Eventful Hire. We’ve put together a great collection of ‘must-have’ items for weddings and other special occasions. Products include a collection of large ivory umbrellas, highchairs, easels, rugs, throws, storm vases, lanterns, a selection of summer garden games and all manner of pretty and useful finishing touches. Summer 2008 was furiously busy and we were delighted to return to one of our favourite venues, the understated and perfectly formed Dairy @ Waddesdon Manor. Guests were treated to refreshing Mojitos, which signaled the start of a Cuban inspired day complete with acoustic band and Cuban tapas and casseroled curried kid featured on the menu. The colour scheme was equally dramatic, unconventional but stunning; hot pink and lime green carried through from prom-style bridesmaids dresses to the vibrant flower palette, bridal favours and hand-made stunning table stationery. It looked fresh, vibrant and fun. We are delighted to say that this wedding has been selected to feature in an upcoming issue of bridal title ‘Wedding’ magazine.
Then it was time for a quick dash back to London the following weekend and we were in Mayfair organising a very romantic and elegant wedding celebration in a stunning townhouse, Dartmouth House. The weather was not with us on that weekend but it most certainly didn’t affect the proceedings as much merriment ensued.
September continued at a pace as we were all hands on deck for a very large Greek wedding set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside at a grand stately home complete with video link of the ceremony to ensure a large audience could view ‘live’, and authentic Greek cuisine to the last.
The following week, we returned to our London home for a stylish City celebration. The awe-inspiring London Oratory was the incredible wedding ceremony venue with the glamorous and stylish Berkeley Hotel, Knightsbridge playing host to the festivities.
Our autumn was rounded off with a beautifully intimate 3 day event in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds. The couple wanted a very relaxed yet stunning affair with the finest food and friendliest ambiance. Warmth was exuded in the use of chocolates, creams and golds all over and within the abundant flowers and luxurious charger plates, napkins and bespoke bridal favours. |

The spring is underway with our first training course of the year for new planners taking place this month.
We are very excited to be running our first ever annual seminar for experienced wedding planners taking place on 27 and 28 February at Down Hall in Hertfordshire. We have some amazing expert speakers on PR, web marketing, image, lighting and design, Asian weddings and all manner of topics which are designed for our continued learning in this fast-growing industry.
