Wedding of Rachel and Mark

Last weekend we were privileged to work on the wedding of Rachel and Mark. A year in the planning, we will be writing further on aspects of the planning and design of the wedding over the coming weeks but we thought we’d share a sneaky peak of some photos from the big day as featured on the blog of the very talented  Lloyd Dobbie.

Wedding of Lisa & Carlos

We thought it would be good to feature some of our successes and although this wedding features on our website already, it’s been much admired of late as we head for peak summer and recently featured in ‘Wedding’ magazine under their real weddings section so we thought why not write a little on our blog too?

The Dairy at Waddesdon Manor, Buckinghamshire provided the understated and beautiful location for the day’s celebrations with the added benefit of an outdoor pavilion which the heartfelt ceremony took place under.

Guests were treated to refreshing Mojitos, which signaled the start of a Cuban inspired day complete with acoustic band and Cuban tapas and casseroled curried kid featured on the menu.

The colour scheme was equally dramatic, unconventional but stunning; hot pink and lime green was the name of the game and this was carried through from prom-style bridesmaids dresses to the vibrant flower palette as well as hand-made stunning table stationery. Bridal favours were hand-chosen glass beads purchased in Italy by Lisa. Everything looked fresh, vibrant and fun.

Another unique touch was the use of a guest wishing tree. Lisa and Carlos were touched by a pomegranate tree exhibition on a holiday together and decided to hand-make pomegranate cards for guests to leave their own personal message and attach to a tree. The wedding cake was also designed to reflect the pomegranate and its symbolism.

A wonderful occasion and a real privilege to work on. Thank you to Pippa Mackenzie for capturing things so beautifully.
