Wedding of Rachel and Mark – Part 2

We promised more on the recent-ish nuptials of Rachel and Mark at Great Fosters.  Today we show you some of the lovely design details which featured in their classic and elegant reception.

Luscious flowers were important to Rachel and the table centres made use of the venues own charming candelabra.

Each place setting was thoughtfully prepared with gold charger plate, pocket-folded damask ivory napkin, gold foil-blocked menu and place card combo and individual box of Godiva pralines.

And after a sumptious wedding meal, there was the symbolic cake cutting. The multi flavoured cake featured an intricate rose design to match the key wedding flowers, dusted lightly in gold.

We’re always on the look-out for genuinely unique ideas and we were fortunate enough to be contacted recently by a fantastic artist, Andrew van der Merwe. We couldn’t contain our excitement and think his art needs to be shared. Essentially he carves a unique message onto a beach in his native South Africa and then photographs it but my description does not do it justice where I think his photos do.  I’m sure you’ll agree his work is really amazing and would make a fabulous bespoke invitation design for a beach wedding wherever in the world!  To contact Andrew go to:  www.behance.net/beachscriber/frame

Wedding of Rachel and Mark

We featured a quick snapshot of one of our August weddings a few weeks ago but now that we’ve seen all of the photos we thought we’d write some more about this classic city/country wedding combo.  Enjoy!

Mark seems to be enjoying greeting his guests at the church in Chiswick.

Rachel and her father arrive in the immaculate silver/grey Rolls Royce Phantom.

London’s renowned Elysian Singers were especially hired to perform during the ceremony as Rachel has a love of amazing choral music.

The marriage was sealed with a kiss.

We hired a red routemaster (with personalised blinds) to whisk the guests out of London to the reception at Great Fosters, Surrey.

And next time, we’ll be covering the reception, design and details.
